My wife Ann had multiple sclerosis for forty-two years until she died a year ago. We and other people prayed for her healing on lots of occasions in many ways, supported by a number of high-profile figures in the world of praying for healing. She never got healed. Yet it was not the case that God simply ignored all those prayers. God gave her a ministry that she exercised through her having to live with her increasing disability, and God made a man out of me through my having to live with it.
