Description

This meditation/reflection has been used, and well received, as a short sermon for Remembrance day. It is based on the ceremonial nature of Remembrance day services and explores the role of ceremonies in military life, and in a church settings. Begining by thinking about wedding ceremonies and ending with the sacrament of Holy Communion, it invites us to consider the depth of our involvement from being a mere spectacle to a worship event that engages our whole being.
