A diminutive figure on a memorial to the Eyemouth Fishing Disaster fpund overlooking the harbour at St Abbs. On 14 October 1881 189 lives were lost in a fierce tempest whilst families watched helplessly from the shore. Of 45 boats that went out only 19 returned leaving 93 widows and 267 children fatherless.
