This hymn is based on information given by The Venerable Bede of Jarrow, Teacher of the Faith (673-735). He tells us that, even in old age, he made a point of being present at the times of his monastery's hours of prescribed prayers. What an example for us! The music appropriately, has an optional bell accompaniment.
