Eucharistic Prayer E is another new prayer created for Common Worship, initially the work of Canon Jeremy Haselock. The intention was to produce a classic ‘Western’ Eucharistic Prayer, in the sense of one that has the epiclesis before the narrative of the institution, that has all that such a prayer ought to have, but with a lighter touch in terms of the complexity of language.
