Meditation – Made in your Image
Note – this meditation can be used in conjunction with images of God.

Genesis Chapter 1 v27
So God created human beings in his own image,  in the image of God he created them;  male and female he created them.

Lord God
We are told that we are created in your image but what does that mean?
Do you look like us, talk like us, act like us – we can’t imagine
Is it more about our minds and the way we do things or see things?
Are we created so that our outlook simply reflects yours or is it the enquiring, innovative, challenging, complicated vision of you that we have more in common with?

Surely it doesn’t mean that we should think we know everything and act as if we are in charge – after all you are the all-knowing all-powerful one yet we are told we are like you

We wonder what you are like.
We think we know you through Jesus
All our images of you are mixed together...
