Magnificat (Luke 1:39–56)
An old woman, barren; disgraced; a young woman, pregnant; disgraced.
Together they prepare the way of the Lord; the way of God.
God who is both old and young: satisfaction and possibility.
For God, who is unchanging change down the generations is doing a new thing - just as he always has.
He is faithful to his promise: his coming long expected and unexpected.
