Genesis 22: 1 – 14

My father was an old man when I was born. Very old.
My mother was old too.

I didn’t have many friends of my own age and, when I did, it was their grandparents who knew my mother and father because they were of the same generation – or even younger. So it was a strange childhood.

But my father was very good to me. He called me his special treasure and he wanted me to grow up big and strong and to marry well and to give him fine grandsons. I followed him around like a little puppy...
