Consider why there was no room for the Holy Family in the inn. An inn should be a place of refuge and rest, safety and security. It is a haven after a long and arduous journey. But Jesus was rarely to know such moments of content. He was to be forever journeying on, with no place to lay his head. And so his birth foreshadowed his life...
