New beginnings

While I was having the operation on my back, the man who was my fiancé at the time came into the hospital and broke off our engagement. We attended the same church and, due to the emotion of it all, I felt I would not be able to attend services there if he was still a member of the congregation. So I spoke to a friend who was a Methodist minister, and he invited me to worship at his church, which I duly did. I had qualified in psychotherapeutic counselling, but as yet did not have a client caseload of my own. So all my hopes and dreams about a pending marriage and new job had gone down the tubes...
