Description

A meditation to be set up as a series of 'messages' in a outside/wilderness location. (There are 10 in total) We have used it on forest trails, and on Wilderness Retreats on tiny Hebridean islands. The easiest way to set it up is to laminate each meditation, and attach it to a garden cane which can then be pushed into soft ground along the trail.

ONE
Imagine a lonely walk through wild places. Communication methods are patchy. There have been attempts to place telegraph poles across the wide wilderness, but the winds have played cats cradle with the wires.
Radio waves splash back like a tide from rocks.
But there are messengers. No-one quite knows who they are, or where they come from.
But they have left these messages sprinkled in the wilderness.
And in this lonely place, we crave the evidence of the other. We long to be in company.
No longer alone.
So we long for these messages like we long for food, and warmth and shelter.
The meanings are not always clear. The roads are often indistinct.

TWO
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

THREE
God made.
And he saw that it was all good.
Including
You.
You are the joyful product
Of divine creativity.

FOUR
And all was in relationship
We belonged to each other
Like the Son belonged to the Spirit and they both belonged to the Father
Man belongs to garden
And also to woman
And she in turn
Belongs to man
