FORGIVEN AND FORGIVING
1 Merciful God‚ we who know you forgiving —
and who have drunk at your fountain of grace —
need you to help us reflect in our living
such a forgiveness to all in each place.
2 Merciless servants we ought to be never;
otherwise you could your pardon retract.
Surely we must have a rule not to sever
mercy received from the way that we act.
