It's heads I win and tails you lose:

terms calculated to abuse,

such tangled words to trip Christ up,

a poisoned chalice, bitter cup.


But Jesus saw right through their plan,

a subtle, thoughtful, cunning man;

he played with language, used his skill,

soon turned the tables to his will...
