Hymn inspired by Psalm 19 'The heavens declare the glory of the Lord'. It begins by praising the variety of God's creation, goes on to confess our part in damaging the environment and ends with a call to stewardship.

The silent witness of the heavens
tells of the glory of the Lord.
The galaxies of constellations
declare his power with one accord.
The crimson hues of fiery sunsets
or dawn-flushed clouds at morning’s light,
the lightning flash, the clap of thunder
speak of his majesty and might.

The tiger prowling through the jungle,
the darting flash of humming bird,
the snake that slithers in the desert
tell of his power without a word.

The giant redwoods in the forest,
the grandeur of the mountain’s height,
the myriad life-forms in the ocean
speak of his mystery and might.
