After heavy rain the river here regularly breaks its banks and floods adjacent fields and this woodland bring not just moisture but depositing nutrients and minerals. Trees here remain standing and are not washed away as they have strong roots. A great metaphor for blessing refreshing strong roots and steadfastness or a natural parallel to the parable of the wise and foolish builders.
